Become a Certified Soccer Referee! In-Person Training at Kaukauna High School (Aug 30)

⚽ How to Become Certified
All referee certifications are completed through the US Soccer Learning Center. To attend the in-person field session on August 30th, candidates must first complete the required online course modules.
- Create an Account: Visit the US Soccer Learning Center and click SIGN UP in the upper right corner to create your profile.
- Register for the Course: Navigate to Courses > Available Courses (or select Wisconsin State Referee Committee as the host) to register for the 2026 WI New Referee Course.
- Complete Online Modules: Finish all required online coursework (including Laws of the Game, safety modules, and the referee quiz).
- Note for ages 18+: You must complete a background check and SafeSport training. Background checks can take 10–14 days to clear, so please register early!
- Reserve Your Field Session: Once your online assignments are 100% complete, follow the prompt in the Learning Center or contact WisRef to lock in your spot for the August 30th session at Kaukauna High School. Online modules must be completed at least 48 hours prior to the in-person session.

- $40 WisRef Reimbursement: WisRef (in partnership with WYSA) offers a $40 reimbursement to new referees upon successful completion of the course and requirements.
- Up to $60 Starter Kit Reimbursement from River Surge FC: River Surge FC offers a reimbursement of up to $60 for first-time referees to purchase their official referee starter kit (which covers the full cost of a standard starter package through official US Soccer vendors).
